At Hjortsjöskolan, we are currently seeking a dedicated teacher for our special education group!

To increase upper secondary school eligibility and attendance for our students, we have a special focus on subject-specific collegiality (ÄDK), working through learning, leadership, and stimulation, as well as adopting a salutogenic approach. We are looking for someone who wants to develop our school and make a difference for our students together with us.

As an employee, you can expect close collaboration with educated colleagues, special education teachers (EHT), and present leadership. You will receive mentoring, ongoing professional development, and have significant influence and participation in our development and change work, both in subject teams and work teams.

Hjortsjöskolan (grades 7-9) is centrally located in Vaggeryd and has approximately 350 students. We work according to a vision where safety and knowledge are important pillars, and the work team is seen as a shared resource in clear teamwork. Collaborative learning is an important part of school development to achieve the goal that every student develops both socially and academically. We are working together towards the future with a focus on knowledge!

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of a teacher in our special education group, you will have a special responsibility to lead and develop the teaching for the students in the special education group. You will plan, conduct, and evaluate your pedagogical work in accordance with the current curriculum and regulatory documents, as well as perform other tasks common to the profession. Together with the rest of the school staff, you will run an activity that helps students become safe, creative, and curious.

We work to ensure that all children feel a sense of responsibility, show respect and consideration for people and the environment. We offer a meaningful activity from the moment the student arrives in the morning until they go home. To succeed, every employee must, from their specific "gear" position, mesh with others to make the whole function and ensure that our school's "WE" grows!

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with good competencies who is interested in learning and school development. We expect you to meet challenges and pedagogical questions in an open and innovative way and contribute your competencies to the entire team.

In the classroom, you are a clear pedagogical leader who creates trust, engagement, safety, and accessibility. You are expected to work from a subject-specific pedagogical approach; you will receive an introduction and training in this upon starting.

Collaborating and establishing good relationships with students, guardians, colleagues, and external actors is a natural part of your role. You document and follow up on each student and maintain continuous dialogue with students, subject teachers, mentors, and guardians. Those working in the special education group form a work team and collaborate closely regarding the affected students.

You must be a licensed teacher with eligibility to teach in grades 4-6 in Mathematics/English/Swedish, alternatively a licensed teacher for grades 7-9 with eligibility in Swedish/English or Mathematics/Natural Sciences. Experience in special pedagogical work is an asset. We place great importance on your personal skills.
